These transformers produced by NTC, are available in resin and non-resin models. The resin models are applicable when the path for current is the existing cable or busbar, and it is not possible to cut it for the insertion of a normal CT. In this case, if the CT is to be installed on a shielded cable or a voltage holding busbar, one of the models is used. The resin ingredients of these products are supplied from the best brands. Also, all products are tested before delivery to customers.
Given that its resin-free type is mostly used on the ends of bushings of power transformers, they are also known as bushing current transformers (BCT). Although this product is considerably cheaper than power transformers (one of the most expensive equipment of high voltage substations), it can add significant capabilities to power transformers in terms of current measurement and protection. This type of current transformer is also suitable for any other equipment with a grounding shield around the current conductor.
